I can't believe that we are in a new year! Where did the last one go? Mind you, I was more than happy to see it go. Apart from discovering Youtube, mini albums, Ustream, Laura Dennison and the rest of those fantastically talented ladies who post on YouTube etc, it was as lousy as the previous year. Well maybe not quite that bad but not great anyway.
I'm looking forward to a bright new start, not sure what form it will take ~ lots of crafting, making new friends. Maybe even producing some videos of my own to upload to YouTube...woohooo!
I'm finally accepting I will never be as active or fit as I once was :-( I've always been used to being on the go.........although..... I know it could be a lot worse. I have a roof over my head, I have family around me and at least I get out of mucking out the horses and other yard duties :-P

In the beginning.............
If you can't beat 'em join 'em ~ so here it is, my very own blog :-D Please bear with me, I'm a blogging virgin so it might be a slow process getting to grips with just what you can and can't say. Also excuse the ramblings won't you!
Having retired myself from my own business, I now have time to catch up on my card making which I haven't done during the last few years. I can't get to classes due to ill health so decided to use my trusty computer to find online tutorials. Well, was I in for a ( very pleasant ) surprise! I of course knew about YouTube but hadn't really bothered to look at it apart from when one of my daughters sent me details of something funny on there ~ I thought that's all it consisted of. Can't remember how it happened but I discovered the crafting and scrapbooking videos and that was it.....I was hooked. It was like an addiction.......I was watching morning, noon and all night long :-) I have calmed down a tad now and have learned so much including altered art. Making scrapbooks from paper bags and envelopes, handmade flowers from book pages.....and so much more.
The days flying by ~ today for instance I've been making flowers out of fleece and leather which will probably be turned into brooches or attached to headbands ( now everyone knows what they are getting for christmas :-p ).
This morning I was watching Barbara from Stamping With Clarity on Create and Craft ~ I love her scatty type of demonstrating, there is nothing scatty about her talent though ~ anyway, she happened to mention a stamp show she was at a few days ago which just happened to be in my area and I didn't know anything about it. I was really miffed at missing it. Never mind, I have promised myself a trip to the NEC next month if I can manage it.
If I haven't bored you too much maybe you can pop back for a chat sometime, I'd love to hear from other craft addicts. I'll sign off now, I'm in need of a cuppa.
